Originally hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, I am a Southern girl at heart. My passions drive me to be active and fuel me to live my healthiest life. I love motivating others to create sustainably healthy lifestyles, regardless of injury or illness. My philosophy: you can get fit anytime, anywhere. No two individuals are the same, therefore I will keep your training program customized just for you.
I currently serve in-person clients in both the Chattanooga and Nashvlle, Tennessee areas as well as train clients online all over the country. I incorporate my 10+ years of experience in the field to provide unique training to meet each of my clients' needs. Most of my clients are working professionals who seek to live a fitness-based lifestyle that works with their busy schedule. In addition, I have experience in developing, implementing, and managing corporate wellness programs including group fitness instruction. If your company is looking to add a wellness program or reinvent an existing one, I am able to meet the needs of your team with the knowledge that every organization is unique.
In my free time I enjoy weight training and yoga, being outside with my two dogs, and whitewater kayaking.
I have worked with several personal trainers over the past 10+ years. While some were really good, Samantha excels. She is punctual, enthusiastic, dedicated, and has an exceptional knowledge base relating to diet, exercise, human physiology. Since I started working out under Samantha's direction six months ago, I've seen a significant improvement in my strength and flexibility. y fitness goals were to improve my core strength to enable me to be a better whitewater kayaker and to improve the flexibility in my knees to the fullest extent I can following Bi-Lateral (Double) Knee Replacement in June of 2014. I had been working out on my own for most of my adult life and had regained a lot of my leg strength following the rehab process after my knee surgery, but I still had limited flexibility and IT Band pain on the outside my knees.
Samantha introduced me to a number of new exercises to me focusing on one legged balancing and various angles while lifting weights combined with stretching. After about 3 months, I had a remarkable improvement in my knees and I am a better paddler as well. She took a personal interest in my progress and developed a program tailored to my specific situation and goals. I am still working out hard, but grateful for the opportunity to get to know Samantha, I could not reccomend her any more highly. John S.
